Stree Mukti Sanghatana and other network NGOs held a rally at CST on the International Women's Day. A play, "Savitri v/s Savitri" was performed to an enthralled audience. The Indian constitutions and the rights of women were discussed.
This session for community counselors was led by Advocate Rajshree Damle, who gave an overview of the various laws for women. She highlighted the difference between N.C and F.I.R which was very helpful for the women. She stressed on the fact that valid ID proofs are very important and every women should have them.
Discussion with Disha Sheikh, Kiran Deshmukh, Ketaki Ranade, Chainika Shah. The discussion ranged from various issues that the community faces and their challenges. The focus was on the solutions to these challenges and how the constitution can help them achieve their goals of equality and a gender just world.
A lecture followed by discussion with Nila Limaye has been arranged. The discussion will be on tradition and the constitution with a focus on Sabarimala
Discussion with Vasanti Damle, Vandana Sonalkar, Smita Gandhi. This discussion will be followed by a play.
A play written by Rajesh Kolambkar will be staged
